Current Prayer Request
Monday, May 12th, 2008CHINA. Quite a few Christian workers in China have children who will graduate from high school this year. In most cases, that means that the children will return to the U.S. for university studies while the parents continue to serve overseas. Pray that God will grant grace to both parents and children during this time of transition. Ask God to give good times of closure to those who have grown up in East Asia and will be challenged in many ways as they return to the U.S. Pray that parents will have peace and courage as they release their sons and daughters into the hands of the Father, trusting Him to lead and provide.
CHINA. As the world counts down to the beginning of the Beijing Summer Olympics, many eager volunteers are also counting down to their involvement in Olympic-related ministries. Pray that God will guide and empower all who seek to serve Him through unique opportunities that are present. Pray that many Chinese people will lay hold of something that is even more precious than Olympic gold: salvation through Jesus Christ.
CHINA. Christian workers of all ages are constantly seeking to sharpen skills that will enable them to share Christ more effectively. Pray today for all who are way past their college days who are diligently studying Chinese dialects or participating in specialized witness training courses. Ask that their minds will be keen, their memories strong, and their spirits persistent. Pray that they will have many opportunities to utilize all that they have learned.
CHINA. Worldwide attention was temporarily focused on the Olympic torch run this spring, a run that will culminate at the Olympic opening ceremonies on August 8. Yet those who serve Christ in China are constantly focused on “running”, fixing their eyes on the author and finisher of their faith. Pray that all who serve Christ in China can stay the course that he has set for them, representing their Savior with excellence in service.
